Reach Systems offers an innovative and efficient way to store and deploy cable for ROV systems, camera systems, remote robotic crawlers, towed sonars and more.
Reach Systems product line offers innovative solutions for cable management across a wide range of applications and industries. We specialize in providing services related to cable handing and confined space, including subcontract engineering, prototype manufacturing and project management.
Reach Systems Artemis Cameras are designed as compact modules to support a range of applications, including remote inspections, permanent installations, and personnel safety & monitoring. They can also operate as part of a remote robotic inspection system. Simple, durable, and reliable, these camera units offer high-resolution H.264 and MJPEG video streaming over a 10/100 Base TX Ethernet network connection. All Artemis cameras provide excellent lowlight performance and a wide field of view, making them ideal for mounting on robotic systems, as stand-alone cameras for confined space operations, or as part of an inspection and monitoring system for subsea applications.
Every Reach Systems IP camera is available with our viewing and control software, providing access to advanced features like defog and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR).
Don’t let its size fool you. With a diameter of just 32 mm and a length of 122 mm, the Artemis-Auk delivers exceptional quality and performance under even the most challenging remote monitoring & inspection conditions — in the air, on the ground, and up to 2,000 meters underwater. Robust and reliable, it attaches to your inspection class ROVs to provide HD auxiliary video, or combines with a separate LED light to create a complete commercial diver camera package.
(Somewhat) larger package, loads more power. Whether your deployment involves a mid-sized ROV, a USV (overboard camera), or a simple stand-alone inspection, some missions call for nothing less than the Artemis-Puffin. At 60 mm in diameter, the Puffin boasts all the capabilities of the Auk, with the addition of four (4) built-in LED light modules. As remarkably simple and durable as any Reach camera system, the Puffin is rated for operation at depths of up to 300 meters.
Demanding applications require industrial-strength solutions. Meet the Artemis-Heron: full 1080p resolution within a complete PTZ system — 360° continuous pan, 270° tilt, variable intensity LED lighting, 10× optical zoom — all at just 100 mm in diameter! Rated for use to 50 meters below the waterline, the Heron fits into extremely small spaces, without compromising on capabilities or performance. Plus, on-demand advanced features like Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), image stabilization* and defog make it ideal for nearly any remote inspection mission.

Reach Systems’ line of CROC reels offers innovative solutions for cable management across a wide range of applications and industries. Designed for ROVs, robots, sonar and camera cable applications, our reels are economical, durable and adaptable, making them ideal for managing tethers on almost any type of remotely operated system.
Originally designed for deploying ROVs and sensors from an Autonomous Surface Vessel (ASV), the CROC Mini is ideal for any portable or remote application utilizing small diameter tether. In its most basic form, it offers a manual payout and retrieval, and can store up to 200 m. of 5 mm diameter cable. Or, with the smart control option, including an embedded controller and DC-motor, the CROC Mini can be operated over wireless systems or perform semi-autonomous payout and retrieval functions.
The standard CROC cable reel offers unparalleled durability and ease of use in a small package. With support for up to 1,000 m. of 5 mm diameter tether, and options for motors, level winds, and distance counters, the CROC reel is suitable for almost any remote sys- tem application, from ROVs to robotic crawlers to sonar systems, and more.
Our largest reel, the CROC XL can hold up to 500 m of 10 mm diameter cable but still offers portability and ease of transport. It fits comfortably inside a Pelican 370 case for carrying, or it can be arranged on a pallet with your ROV, sonar or other system for a complete package shipping solution. And it is available with all the same upgrades and options.
